Shunde is a district in Foshan City in the southern tip of China, located in the Guangdong Province. Shunde or Shuntak in Cantonese is located in the Pearl river Delta. In the simplified writing it is 顺德 and the traditional is 順德區. Shunde is the ancestral place of Kung-Fu superstar Bruce Lee. Foshan is the place of Wong Fei Hong.
Shunde Walking Street
At the heart of Shunde, you will find the Walking Street (Buxinjie), similar to Lao Jie Shenzhen but entirely different from tha Wlaking Street in Pattaya, Thailand.
Shunde walking street has its unique beauty being cleaner and not so crowded, yet you can still can find those branded products like Giordano, ERKE, Baleno and others, sidewalk food or street foods of different kind, traditional and exotic.
One of my best dinner happened in Shunde walking street with the family. This place is located at the middle of the walking street.
One of the best experience in China is the Wechat Pay – a cashless payment on wechat wallet, a form of IoT (Internet of Things) that I can pay using my smartphone running wechat APP. I remember when I was in Paris France, and I am running out of cold cash – I really miss Wechat pay at that time.
Qinghui Garden
Still at the heart of Shunde, just beside the Walking Street, you can find here an old Garden with its own unique beauty, peace, aroma and history – it was recorded that this is the meeting place of Deng Xiaoping together with Yang Shangkun and Huang Zhen when they visited Shunde on January 29, 1984 on their way to Guangzhou..
There is a hall dedicated to Deng Xiaoping with his statue on the front, it tells about his journey to Shunde on the route to Guangzhou and the history of Shunde economic growth.
Its a wonder to be here, so relaxing looking at the tourist enjoying the surrounding, listening to the song of the bird, the beautiful fish and turtle, the atmosphere is top-notch specially when blended with our favorite music.
Nathan Formula One Drive
Shunde will be remembered, this is where Nathan drive his very first formula One race in one of the shopping Mall just opposite side of the Qinghui Garden, nearby the Walking Street.
Old and New Transportation
Its awesome to see the traditional transportation in the Shunde (this should have been the improved one with bicycle) where only in the Cinema I can see those now. You can see the young guy whose looking on the advertisement in yellow background – its an advertisement for the “key” like door key, and free service for the old people, look at that contact number – 222 222.

The bus is still a major transportation, and it was nice to see the convenient offered by Mobile Phone “Bus App” to see the bus time, and the orderly of passenger on the waiting shed.
