The Nathan Winter KAmp is another Handmade by Dandy referring to the mechanical construction and build, what more is a demonstration of what a Team can do, a Team that empower.
KAMPANA Amp
When it comes to Class-A Amplifier, The Kampana Amp with its origin from Pass Lab Amp Camp Amp by Nelson Pass is probably the most popular one, specially when it comes to the first built for those guys who are falling in-love with Audio DIY Amplifier build. It is truly a masterpiece, a truly an Audio Hardware Starter but even long user of Hi-Fi’ers, the Purist and Audiophile would agree to love this Amplifier.
With do the same with my friends Tony Tecson and Arnel Rabang, my built however is an experimental (my insanity) where I made changes on the total characteristic of the project :
- No Big Heatsink for Class-A
- with Powerful Human Machine Interface (HMI)
my build – The Handmade by Dandy was then called Nathan Winter KAmp, a tricky name as removing the big heatsink was a challenge, and thus I called it “Winter” which probably can use well during the winter season in my job-site in China, where the temperature goes down below freezing point. The Winter Kampana Amplifier or simply Winter KAmp was born. Nathan is my baby English name, Nathan Winter KAmp is a perfect name for my personal DIY Project. Isn’t it nice to have something special name
Nathan Winter KAmp
I am not worry of the circuit – it has been proven and proved of its Sound Quality (SQ). The mechanical parts and its reliability is what makes me worry. Maybe, this si the first time a Class-A power Amplifier used its aluminum casing as it heatsink or heat radiator, where most DIYer’s makes use of a large heatsink to dissipate the heat for a Reliable Class- A amplifier.
CALASS, Shareware & Courseware
This project was initiated by Tony, and our friends supported it with hundreds of build. Tony even conducted series of F2F build (Face to face live build) in the Philippines, we love to support live but I am in China and Arnel was in the KSA.
Demo & Videos
This is a nice project and I am putting my effort to impart to my fellow Audio Hobbyist specially to those AHS (Audio Hardware Starter) which is why I included into my series of video Demo & Tutorial, visit my youtube channel to see more!
Visit me again guys, I am experiencing a big firewall on my front that I cannot upload picture further. OMG!
